Phocuswright inducts Flo Lugli and Steve Kaufer to Hall of Fame

Phocuswright welcomed two new inductees to its Hall of Fame at the Phocuswright Conference in Fort Lauderdale this week.

Joining the illustrious lineup are Flo Lugli, principal at Navesink Advisory Group and a veteran of the travel technology industry, and Steve Kaufer, the founder of Tripadvisor.

Both travel industry individuals have been described as having played an instrumental role in shaping the sector. They’re known for not willing to accept the status quo and have played key roles in establishing new models, developing technology and launching businesses.

Lugli, an online travel and hospitality executive, began her career in the airline business, spent 20 years at Travelport, rising to become the commercial leader for the global distribution system business for the Americas. She went on to head up marketing and distribution at Wyndham Hotels and Resorts and has served on numerous advisory boards.

Kaufer co-founded Tripadvisor in 2000 with the mission to help travelers around the world plan and book the perfect trip. Since then, Tripadvisor has grown to a platform offering more than a billion reviews and opinions to help guide travelers in 22 languages all around the world. He recently launched his latest venture, Give Freely, to transform online shopping into acts of kindness. Give Freely redirects commissions from purchases directly to the user’s chosen charity, turning everyday buys into charitable actions.

Phocuswright created its Hall of Fame in 2018 and inductions take place during The Phocuswright Conference. Watch the video below to see the ceremony honoring Lugli and Kaufer at the conference this week in Fort Lauderdale.
